I love the truth. And I love stories. I like the way they arrest the fleeting attention of those who would have otherwise completely ignored what sometimes stares them right in the eyes. I like the way they seize cold hearts and warm them into soft clay.

I might even go so far as to say I was born to tell stories, both factual and symbolic. I believe I was created to show the world how to learn from the fortunes and misfortunes, the beauty and disdain, and the righteousness and cruelness of the heroes and villains of stories, tales, articles, and accounts.

Most importantly, though, I care about creating understanding between people. Sometimes that is by telling stories, and other times, it may be talking to both sides directly. Any way I look at it, I can't avoid the fact that to me, nothing seems so simple as the world's need for people who have a heart for both sides of any conflict. Though peace is always temporary, at best, it still strikes me as the most important state to pursue, even if it lasts only a short time.
